I haven't made these tree decoration in a few years. It was a nice way to get back in the forge for a bit during the flurry of the holidays. Never knew where Masco, CO was until today. Made arrangements to have the sundial cleaned up before the patina was applied. They were great to work with and out in the freakin' nowhere. Not surprisingly, the area is famous for UFO sightings.  Finished the forging on latest sundial. Now to figure out what finish to use. Always hate to paint something, so maybe go with a 'forced' rust patina. Stay tuned. |
