Took me a long time to figure out how to keep the circles from distorting too much. Thought it was going to be the project from Hell. Finally got it figured out and finished the three bowls that will hold the award medallions. The medallions will have to wait until after a quick trip to CDA, ID. Started on the awards for the Creede sculpture show coming up in a month or so. Struggling a bit with the design, but making progress. The shape of the bowl distorts the circle during forging. Going to have to find a different approach for forging the steel. Maybe take a break and work on the etching of the copper disk.  Simple sign holder for a sculpture purchased by the Creede Arts Council. Made this a few days ago and just getting around to posting. |
