Trying out a new patina just to break things up a bit.  Japanese Brown. Hmmmmm....

A few bowls are still constipating my brain.  This one is a Celtic Knot.  Made some new chasing tools yesterday and wanted to see how they would work.  Pretty happy for the first go.  7.5"D x 1/2" thick. 

Finally finished these dogs up! One of my longest and challenging projects.  Not that difficult technically, but seemed to never be well enough to make any progress.  Anyway, another project in the books.  Mostly happy with the results.  Always want to get better at translating ideas to metal. 

This is turning out to be the project from Hell.  Family has been sick with serious colds and then I got some crazy inflammation in my leg that that kept me out of the forge for weeks.  The project itself is fun, it just seems that the Norns are having a great time laughing at me. The medallion etchings aren't coming out like I like and I've thrown three or four away already.  Picking the best three and going with them. 

First picture is the pre-etch mask and the send two pictures are the post-acid etch clean up.  Next up is the Liver of Sulphur for a patina.
