The small dome as a top tool in the flypress combined with a small cupping swage in the top left were used to make the larger dome on the top right. The big dome (with flypress pressure from the small dome) will be used in the larger cupping swage to make larger bowls for sundials (as sorta shown in the bottom left). The larger dome is 1/4" mild steel plate. Finally got the flypress installed! This is a deep throat, #5-#6 (about 6 tons of pressure can be applied), a bit of an odd-ball flypress. Still needs a bit of touchup paint, maybe some blue balls and some safety protection paint for the handle.  |
