I'm still getting a handle on eye-hand coordination with the new peepers so I'm trying to rebuild some basic skills again. One of these basics is drawing out. These little elves are made from 20 mm stock (3/4"); not very complex, but still fun.
As some of you know I've been out of commission since September. The short history is that, over the course of 10 days, I went completely blind in one eye and had minor vision loss to the other. I think the phrase 'freaked out' is an understatement. The injury was likely due to a previous concussive injury. Depth perception was crazy bad. Missed the anvil completely a few times and one time the miss ended with the most manly of injuries.
Any way, today was the first day back in the forge after about 3 1/2 months. Feels good to get hot and dirty again. |
